HISTORY OF RED LAKE COUNTY SWCD

​The Red Lake County Soil Conservation District was organized in 1949 by farmer committees assisted by the Agricultural Extension Service. Public hearings were conducted by the State Soil Conservation Committee. A Certificate of Organization was issued by the Secretary of State on December 6, 1949. Election of Supervisors was held on February 10, 1950.
